Here's the secret: I'm one of the people who hand-writes the thank-you cards which you receive with your paper republic order.
As you can see, I get to enjoy writing by hand a lot...
I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I grew up with a love of lettering and it was no surprise that I endedย studying to become a graphic designer.ย
My big passions areย handwriting, calligraphyย and typography.

Since 2014,ย I have beenย living in Vienna,ย where I began working at...you guessed right: paper republic!

ย my love for letteringย translates directlyย into my job. You might have seen some of my work as I'mย responsible for ourย print design and the graphic & user interfaceย of
ย the paper republic website.
Now when you see our "viva paper" cards, you might know where theย inspiration comes fromย ๐ย
I always combine digital and analogue work. No matter if I'm at the office working on my computer, or taking some time out in one of the many beautifulย parks in Vienna,ย my grand voyageur is with me at all timesย for takingย notes, sketching, doodlingย and making to-do lists.ย
I find it hard to believe myย petrol grand voyageur [pocket]ย is already 3 years old now.ย It usually holds two differentย plain refills, aย plannerย as well as aย card holderย which I use to keep my passport when I am travelling.
I chose to embossย myย
grand voyageurย [pocket]ย with my initials in gold and at sometimes I change the
ย ribbon colourย depending on my mood. I find thatย adding a new colourย creates an interesting contrast to the patina of the leather.ย ย ย
After 3 years I still enjoyย the fragrance of the leatherย and the colour just becomes more beautiful over time.ย
